He first came to Austin in 1970 on a full scholarship for football at the University of Texas. Originally from Lamar High School in Houston, he quickly chose Austin over Houston and made it his permanent home in 1976. After years of buying and renovating homes while living in them, Ken decided in 1981 to do what he loved most full time as a professional general contractor. Ken is and has been a "Preferred Contractor" at Stripling-Blake (now BMC & Marvin Windows) for over 20 years. Currently, Ken lives in the South Austin Onion Creek community and has focused his services on energy efficient replacement windows, doors and exteriors including roofs, eaves, overhangs and siding. Insurance claims are also one of Ken's favorites since helping many of his existing customers in their troubles with adjusters and insurers has expanded his expertise and knowledge of the claims process. He's also a licensed general contractor in Port Aransas and has extensive knowledge of windstorm construction. Homeowners love Ken's professional approach to helping them get their home back in the condition it was in before their loss while limiting the expense to their deductible.
